Scribble DrawingSeptember 2012
This is a picture of my nephew, Hayden. I took this picture myself and in my art class I drew this and made it into an ink drawing made completely with scribbles. I chose this picture because I thought it would turn into an interesting scribble drawing. I am proud of how it turned out, but there are a few things I could have changed. |
World IssuesNovember 2012
This is a picture that we did for a project about a world issue. The issue I picked was suicide. This topic is very important to me because I lost a good friend to suicide. I did a picture of a bottle of pills and I painted it in analogous colors. Analogous colors are 3-5 colors next to each other on the color wheel. I am proud of how it turned out. I turned it into my own project by adding more colors, I added them by accident thinking they were the same colors as what was on there, but I think it looks good and different with the multicolored background. They are all shades of one color. In the pills they have words that deal with suicide, some are things that you are leaving behind, but some are things that cause suicide. |
Still Life DrawingJanuary 2013
This is a project that we did, and we were drawing still life. Before we started the unit we had to just draw what we saw in front of us without any experience and then compare it to the drawing we did after. My before drawing there wasn't any shading or anything in the picture and I didn't try very hard, but in this final project I tried and worked hard on the shading. I think this project turned out very well and I'm proud of it. Still life drawing is just drawing what you see in front of you and making it as realistic as possible. We had a lot of different objects on a table in front of us and we just drew. |
Water-wonderland (2-point perspective)December 2012
In this picture we had to draw in two point perspective and I drew a water park will a ball pit. I tried very hard to make this project as realistic as possible and make it feel like the blocks are actually popping out of the paper. I worked hard on the shading and ended up coloring the background black. I colored some of the balls in the ball pit at the bottom a light shade of multi-colors. |
Fabric (Charcoal)January 2013
In this project we had to zoom in on a peice of fabric and shade with charcoal. We had a white piece of paper and we just had to shade where we saw dark values. The charcoal is very different to work with compared to shading with pencil. You could make things a lot darker and shade bigger areas faster. I did like working with the charcoal but I didn't like how dirty the charcoal made everything. |
Hallway (Perspective)November 2012
In this drawing we had to draw a hallway in two point perspective. For about a week we sat in the hallway and just drew what we saw. This whole drawing was made in pencil. We had to shade where we saw the darker values, and where we sat is the perspective we used. I sat on the side of the hallway about halfway down. |
Watercolor (Color Wheel)December 2012
In this painting we were learning about the colors and we had to draw what the teacher told us. At first we drew on a smaller piece of paper and she told us to draw lines and circles. Everybody's drawings turned out differently. Then we had to transfer the smaller drawings onto bigger paper then section it out. Once it was sectioned out she gave us different types of colors to paint on. There was all different shades and things to paint and we did many types of painting. This was a very fun project and also taught us about painting. |
Splatter PaintingDecember 2012
In this project we had to splatter three colors on that were next to each other on the color wheel. I chose yellow, pink and orange. Once we had the paint splattered on we had to draw what we saw in the picture and shade it. This was a very fun project and I like how it turned out. |
2 in 1 DrawingMay 2013
In this project we had to intertwine two pictures and draw a larger size image with pencil. I chose a picture of my two nieces. We had three weeks to work on this project and I really like how it turned out. I spent a lot of time on the shading of their hair and faces and I really like how they turned out. |
Scratch BoardMarch 2013
For this picture we had to scratch out an image of the scratch board. This project was difficult because we had to scratch out the opposite of what you would draw. It was a very interesting project to do and I'm glad with how it turned out. |
Prints
Print With Colored PencilPrint On White Paper |
Print With Tissue PaperTo create these prints we had to carve out of linoleum. We had to carve out the words backwards and it was very difficult trying to plan out what we wanted the print to say and what we wanted on it. I like how all the pictures turned out but the one with tissue paper was my favorite.

Lyric PaintingApril 2013
For this painting we had to pick a song and place the lyrics somewhere in the picture. You could make the words obvious or you could hide the words. I chose the song Endlessly by Green River Ordinance and I chose to hide the words in the sky and sea. I really like how the picture turned out and I like how the sea looks. |
Graphic WordApril 2013
For this project we had to chose a word and create it out of logos you see everyday. I chose the Under Armour symbol for my H, I chose the Obama symbol for the O, I chose the pinterest symbol for the P, and the Entertainment symbol for the E. I really like how they all turned out and how nice they look together. |
